Atleast They Got Love For Us.....

So... I haven't blogged in over a yr... But I felt the need to speak a little truth tonight before I go yo bed... I was reading this blog about Beautiful Black women and it was honestly very inspiring... Clearly me and my friends need to go overseas because it looks like that's where they know how to treat women. These men in America are lacking very hard. They don't court women anymore. They don't care for us the way they're suppose to. They don't realize that we're the prize. But its not all them. It also the women. We need to step up and and make these men realize that they have something to fight for, that they can't just take what they want from us and then throw us away like last weeks news. It's time for women to step up to the plate and make our beauty and our worth known. Women don't know their worth anymore. And I definitely see it in the Black community. The women are lazy and easy. And as a Black women this is sad to see. And I get looked at like I'm crazy because I refuse to accept the scraps that these men hand me. I am beautiful and I know my worth. I won't settle for less and I won't be taken for granted. So thank you Andreas Johannes for your blog and for your appreciation for the Black women! You inspire me! And overseas is where me and my girls clearly need to be!

It amazes me how white men respect and love Black women more then Black men do! But that's perfectly fine because I will gladly and happily fall madly in love with a respectful, passionate, loving, considerate, loyal, beautiful white man!

Now how is that bit of truth for you???

Get Over Yourselves

Hey guys, its me again, your beloved MeelahJ with something to blow your mind. It seems that there have been problem in Rhodesville with some school kids and the staff of the school. Apparently these kids want to change the school colors on their uniform from orange and blue to black, orange, and blue. The administration feels that this is wrong because not only will the girls volleyball team and soccer team be breaking school tradition but also they'd be promoting gangs since some gang's colors are black and blue.

Honestly this whole situation is kind of silly. First of all black, orange, and blue is too much together, too much color on one shirt, and also how can u try and break a tradition. Maybe the girls didn't realize that once a tradition is broken, its sort of not a tradition anymore. The school needs to just stand it's ground regardless of what these parents and kids say and stick to what they know which is that those colors would cause problems.

These girls are upset because they feel that orange and blue aren't jazzy enough for them and they want to spice up their uniforms. They say they don't care about the whole gang violence situations. Nellie Bly, and senior at the school commented saying, " Why would I care about gang colors? It's all about what looks good and our fall volleyball shirts were tough." Regardless of whether people you are around care about it or not the fact still stance that somewhere 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from you those colors stand for something that we all should be against and as the volleyball team captain said, "We cannot allow ourselves to be perceived as something we are not." The parents of these girls feel the same way they do. They believe that there is no need to worry about gang violence in their "beloved" Rhodesville. As it seems there are others who beg to differ.

Even if the administration did let this pass and they did change the colors, what about the rest of the school? Would they have to change their colors? What if the football team didn't like the idea of switching, then what? What if that started a riot in the school. These things need to brought into consideration before even suggesting something like this. This was a very selfish and inconsiderate thing for the volleyball and the soccer team to suggest and no change to the school's colors need to be made. Blue and orange are jazzy enough without black being added to the mix. Get over yourselves!

What The H E Double Hockey Sticks Are You Thinking?!?!?!

Hello World. Its Blow You Mind with Meelahj
On thing I must comment on is the fact that we teens do crazy things to have fun and entertain ourselves. But One thing I must know is, since when  has beating the hell out of someone become our favorite past times? Why are we so irrational and silly. We do things that are unthinkable and we wonder why our parents and our elders talk about us and say that we're ignorant and we're not like they were when they were growing up.

Teens are just plain stupid. Why would you beat someone and then put the tape on youtube for the whole world to see. That just screams I want to go to jail . But not only are they going to jail they are being charged as adults. These teens and ridiculous.

In the story of the Florida teen who was beat by her entire cheerleading teen for almost an hour, the girl went to her "friends" house to talk to the cheerleading team not knowing that she was about to get her face smashed in. The entire cheerleading team took turns beating the girl daring her to fight back so they can all jump on her. They also had two football players waiting outside of the house so that the girl couldn't get out of the house. The parents of these girls are blaming youtube and myspace for the beating. Because youtube and myspace made these girls beat the crud out of that girl and put it on their websites. Or maybe youtube and myspace themselves got off the Internet personally to beat the mess out of that girl. What do you think? Oh But wait it gets better. The girl who hosted this brawl has her mother defending her. Her mother got on t.v and said that her daughter told the victim what was going to happening and that the victim should have called the police.... Its kinda hard to call the police with multiple fist hitting you face. I don't know maybe its just me. Then apparently there where three adults who heard this and didn't seem worried enough to care to call the police for the victim.

What has the world come to these days where you can hear of someone getting jumped but not do anything to help the person. Things are going downhill not only for teens it seems but parentals as well. This is wrong and immoral and the teens deserve every ounce of punishment they get!

It's Raining Men. Hallelujah

I first want to start out and thank God for men! OK correction GOOD men.

As women and as teens we always say we want good men but we then
go after the bad boys and ignorant ones with no morals or future career goals other than being on "DA Block".
We live in these fantasy worlds and we see these deliciously beautiful men in Hollywood and we envy the women who get to be in their presence.
We say its just not fair! Where is our Channing Tatum, or our David Beckham, or our Chase Crawford, or our Chris Brown, or better yet our Shia LaBeouf?

We are influenced by these guys that we see on t.
v and sometimes we hold our guys to these high standards of the guys we seem on t.v and we don't realize the people on t.v aren't real.
If they don't have on make-up then they are putting on this great facade to make them seem larger than life.

Well you know what I say.... Dream on sisters.
I love my high standards, and my beautiful Hollywood men.

There is no need for us to stop holding our guys to those standards, because
without them our guys do what want and act how they want.

Well news flash guys... take notes because these men are everything you need to be to get with a girl like me!

You need to have the looks of... Brad Pit (in Troy), Shia
LaBeouf, Hayden Christiansen, and James Franco
You need the moves of Chris Brown, Channing Tatum, and Justin Timberlake
Have this confident, powerful air about you, like basically every sexy guy on the red carpet, but George Clooney in particular
Be chill and respectful like Steven Strait from The Covenant
Be charming like Matthew McConauhey
Be funny and personable like the new Robert Downey Jr.
And last but not least be honest like Jesus

All these qualities can get you a sure fire date with me and most likely any other sane respectable girl.
I know they say, "All the glitters isn't gold." But I'm willing to go the mile and find out for sure!

Let Jesus Be The Light Of Your Life

As Teenagers we do things and look back on them and wonder what the H E Double Hockey Sticks we were thinking. We're somewhat irrational and silly. We have no since of direction with our lives and the world we live in. We need a guide.

Some of us are "religious" and some of us are religious. And then there is that handful that just doesn't care.

What I mean by this is that, you have your "religious" people who are religious when need be, meaning religious at church and church functions and in front of the old church folk, but any other day are living of the world in the world.
Then there are your religious people who actually try to apply God's word to their life and try to serve him as best as possible, but still make some expected mistakes.

God has said in his word," For even the son of man came not to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransom for many."
In this quote God is saying that we were put on this earth to serve him and have our lives be a testimony for those lost souls who don't know the way.

As teens we can start early and show the world the love of God and live our lives as Might men and women of God!

If you want more info on the love of God go to "Rep The Kingdom" on Thursdays after school in room 204 @ 3 o'clock.

Stay Blessed!

Guys and Girls: Do's and Don'ts

Hello world, and Welcome to Blow Your Mind, with MeelahJ. It seems that my fellow teens are having some problems with the do's and don'ts of being a teenager. They do things that shine a bad light on the rest of us, like getting drunk and high and things of that nature. They get arrested and get records, come to school and disrespect the teachers, and then ditch school just to sit outside... of the SCHOOL! I mean come on. I know you guys have somewhere better to go! Clearly we need a list of the do's and don'ts of teenage life.

Teenagers now and days are very silly and ignorant. They do things that are irrational and spur of the moment, living for the day and not thinking about tomorrow. Now don't get me wrong, its good to I guess, "Seize the Day" as they say but only to a certain existent.
Now for the do's and don'ts:

SCHOOL
Do come to school on time and presentable
Don't come to school high and drunk (If that's indeed what you do everyone doesn't need to know!)
Do go to all your classes (Its pointless to be difficult and ditch because in the long run, trust it will hurt you!)
Don't ditch and stand outside of the school, period point blank.
Do give your teachers respect, regardless of your personal opinion of the teacher, they got hired for a reason
Don't not do your work, it makes you look irresponsible and it leaves a bad taste in the teachers mouth

RELATIONSHIPS
Don't try to talk to each other from across the street, its quite annoying
Do give the girl respect, ask her name before you try to compliment her on her body parts
Don't get upset when the person shows no interest, it shows that your immature
Do find other things to talk about, other than " Da Block"
Don't fight in public, its really tacky
Do give each other respect, period there's no need to go into more, you guys know what real respect is
Don't hit the girl, normal girls don't like that
Do talk to each other, it prevents misunderstandings and complications
Don't fall in love so easily, its the perfect way to get hurt and cause problems

If drinking and smoking is a must, Don't over do it
Don't do things you know will get you arrested, meaning don't randomly start fights with people off the street, or drink and drive, things of that nature
Don't be ignorant and asinine
Simple!
Don't dress inappropriate. Girls : If you don't want to get approached inappropriately don't wear the uniform of a prostitute, leave more to the imagination guys will work harder for girls who don't make it so easy!  Guys: If you don't want to be stereotyped don't where the uniform of a street pharmacist

Overall as teenagers we are expected to do things that are silly and irresponsible, but that doesn't mean we need to live up to those expectations. Lets elevate ourselves and be better than we're expected to be.

WHY ME?!!!!!

So America just had to go and invent this thing called Prom. Where girls get all dolled up and boys look nice for once in their lives and we spend loads of money for three hours. Darn you America for being the only country to take this type of stuff seriously! I have this dress that I'm like in love with but unfortunately I can't get it because my mom think it cost too much.

So let me give you a rundown of all the prom finances

Tickets- $180
Dress- $300
Shoes- $50-80
Accessories- $50-80
Hair-$ 300
Nails- $ 30
Make-Up- Free
Car- ----- (Probably some obscene amount)

Over all prom is just tooo much. My friends ask me why don't I just economize and said to pick a cheaper dress but I feel that if I buy a cheap dress then of course it'll look cheap. And I'd rather not go to prom then to be seen in a dress that don't look as good as I want it to. My friends got really annoyed with me but I don't care because maybe they don't care about if they'll look great at prom but I do! And their fashion sense is soo one dimensional. I'm over the whole prom thing now because I only have one month and I still don't have a dress nor do I have a date! How Pathetic.

Things cost too much! I have to pay a $750 concert choir fee..... yea right
I have to give Clark Atlanta $625 by June 1st
I have to find money to pay for my tuition plus room and board mind you its almost $23, 000

WHY ME?!!!!!!!
